Balloons add life to your decorating plans.  They are colorful and can fill a room with a festive appearance for a relatively low cost.

Mylar balloons come in many sizes and shapes with themes for birthdays, showers, welcome home, and much more.  We carry the standard 18" mylar balloons and also a great selection of jumbo, shaped balloons and guarantee our mylar balloons for at least 48 hours.

Our latex balloons are a 12" premium quality balloons.  All of our filled premium latex balloons are treated with Ultra Hi-Float® and guaranteed to last at least 24 hours. See our guarantee at the bottom of this page.

See our pricing guide below.  We offer our balloons filled or do sell them not inflated for your to purchase and have filled elswhere.  Likewise, we also will fill balloons that were purchased somewhere else.

Due to the current helium shortage, we are unable to rent helium tanks at this time.  Sorry for any inconvenience, and we will post when rentals are again available.

Rental Helium tanks are also available.

We carry 2 sizes of tanks.  One that will fill approximately 50 or 100 latex balloons (12-inch). Actual fill quantity will vary depending on size of balloons and/or over or under filling balloons including any that may burst during or after inflation.

12” balloons typically float for approximately 8 to 12 hours indoors.  If longer time is needed, please inquire about “Hi-Float”  which will at least double the floating life of balloons.

If balloons are used outdoors floating life could  be significantly reduced even with Hi-float.  Balloon size and quality, and atmospheric conditions play significant roles in floating life.

Dakota Party recommends the use of 11 or 12” balloons, but other sizes may be filled as well.  9” balloons will only last about 6 to 8 hours typically.

Cost of Rental is $24.99 per 50 count tank and $39.99 per 100 count tank.  Unless otherwise arranged, rentals are on a 3-day basis.

Tank includes a nozzle to fill latex balloons only.  Mylar fills are not recommended with the supplied nozzle.

A deposit of $100 per tank is required at time of rental.  Deposits are returned upon timely return of tank.  Deposit may be cash, separate check, or credit card number.  Deposits are not processed unless tank is not returned, or if needed to repair or replace tank and or support equipment.

No refunds are given for unused helium.

Reserving a tank in advance is recommended, but not required.  Reserved tanks will have priortity over walk-in orders based on availability.

Balloon Guarantee and Tips:

Guarantee is for our bulk premium balloons treated with Ultra Hi-Float® filled by us and used/stored indoors.  We will replace your balloons if they pop getting them into the car or if any deflate within the 24 hours.  We ask that you store your balloons indoors overnight as the weather can play a significant role in floating life.
Mylar Foil balloons from us are guaranteed to float 48 hours indoors.
(Note that we cannot guarantee the floating life of balloons brought into our store or our nonpremium balloons.  Also note that without the Ultra Hi-Float® balloons may last approximately 8 hours.)

Filling balloons you have purchased elsewhere.
We will gladly fill your balloons but cannot guarantee them for any float life (including mylar and latex.)  As with our latex balloons, our fill price includes Ultra Hi-Float® which should extend the floating life of your balloons.

Filling Balloons on your own (with a rental or disposable tank)
Nontreated latex balloons (12") will float for approximately 8 to 12 hours, so plan your filling time for right before your event.  9" or smaller balloons will last less time.  Using outdoors may also decrease floating life.  We offer pints of the Ultra Hi-Float® for sale should you need more floaing life.  If possible, we still recommend filling balloons on the day you need them even with the balloon treatment.

Balloons Tips

• Store balloons indoors until the time they are needed.  The weather, sun, wind, etc. will greatly affect the floating life and look of your balloons.
• Balloons will look their best if purchased the day of or day before your event.
• We recommend using 11" or 12" balloons with helium.
• Add a balloon weight (sold separately) to create a bouquet for your centerpiece.

Note that latex balloons are not allowed in Hospitals, Rapid City Public Schools and other facilities.  Please check in advance as to whether latex is allowed at your facility and/or event.
