About Dakota Party

We have been Rapid City's favorite party supply store and locally owned since 1989.  September of 2010 will mark our 21st anniversary and we are excited for our 22nd year.  We will be adding some new features to our website, and we have just introduced our Confettie Club.

Brief History

In 1989 we opened as a Paper Warehouse franchise.  At the time we carried many different items including commodities such as toilet paper, some office supplies, and party supplies.  The business has evolved into more of a party supply store as the industry has evolved and grown over the years.

In 2004 Paper Warehouse was aquired by Party America; thus, our first name change.  Although our franchisor had changed, we continued to offer great party supplies.  The Party America franchise gave us a new look into the industry and our product mix.

In 2009 we became an independent operator; thus, our third (and hopefully last) name change.  This was a great opportunity for us.  Although we are an independent store, we are a member of a great association, Paper First Affiliates.  Paper First Affiliates is a member owned association of independent party stores.  This association is a great networking tool with many other party stores and owners.

Throughout the years, we sincerely thank you for your business and hope to continue our service to our customers for many more years.
